I understand and appreciate your response. However, I think it is far past time to amend the Constitution completely. We live in a completely different world in 2020. There’s no reason we should have a freedom that allows someone to burn a Koran. Or a freedom that allows people to speak hatefully to the point of inciting violence. I understand there is a lot that has to go into this to do it correctly and not allow it to be abused… I don’t have all the answers but I personally feel we are past due on changing this country for the better. By changing I mean a complete overhaul of the centuries old documents that really aren’t the best fit for an equal and humane society. There are other countries that could lead as an example of what to do and not to do as far as a hate speech law goes. Like I said, I understand your point of view on it and realize there are risks of abuse that come with it… but those risks can be managed. America needs change though. It’s needed change for a long time. It’s never really been that great of a country… it’s just really good at making it seem that way. I think people are waking up to that reality and kind of getting tired of it. Maybe this isn’t the best way, but amendments are definitely needed and change is definitely necessary for a more equal society and government that caters to everyone.

Just writing about things that I find interesting in a world that can be a little too cold sometimes.
