Normally, I agree with your articles, but I have to disagree with this post completely. The documentary is accurate. I mean it literally had people who helped create these platforms telling you these things lol. Discipline or no discipline, social media companies need to be regulated. We should more control over how our data is used. And children are most definitely negatively affected in their psychological development from social media usage. To say that we should just have more discipline over something that negatively affecting us is just irresponsible dude. There are positives to social media and I don't think they suggested one time in that documentary to get rid of it... They suggested we need to regulate it and make these companies care more about the morality of what they are doing. I'm a recovering addict and I can tell you 100% that social media use is a problem for people who don't even have addictive personalities. That should show you how strong the addiction is and how it isn't something you can just "discipline" yourself over that easily.
