That's true. I have also noticed on social media over the last year or so that there is a lot of "scam" type of companies popping up. I mean, yes, they help people fill for insurance claims and such with storm damage or for converting to solar... But you are absolutely right that people are missing that one point - what happens to the old solar panel and also the replacement cost. People don't read everything they sign. I am for this type of stuff, as long as it isn't being used to make individuals a boatload of money without much work. I am in more in the middle (balance) in terms of how I feel about things and I truly feel we need to get back to a place of ethics in business or we will never recover in this current state of capitalism. It's only getting worse and things like this... this "being environmentally friendly" as a hoax by the government and corporations is not the way. We can't even handle our electric grids as is when it gets hot and they want to add electric cars everywhere. I feel like having more ethics and empathy in the way we lead forces all of the other things to get better over time.
